Here we see the first fight of the half, with Flyquest being the defenders and EXG attacking. In this moment as EXG are rotating, an opening is created for Flyquest to make a strong turn, which they recognize and execute.

The beginning of their turn starts with a couple important aspects: they are positionally staged aggressively, angles are opened, a killbox is defined, and some cooldowns are used (peni teamup, ultron teamup and right click, starlord teamup, mantis leaves in use). Now that the turn has been initiated, Flyquest can force an advantage (e.g. opening pick, map space, ult charge gain, resource advantage) if they continue their turn (cooldowns include dino grab, loki lamps and starlord spin).

Because of Flyquest’s aggression and coordination, ares becomes isolated, and is entry picked after being grabbed by teki. Now that Flyquest is drained of their aggressive resources and the window of opportunity, they end their turn, securing the space it gained.
The speed at which initiative was taken combined with pinpoint coordination and application of resources is what made the turn good, and the conditions on when the turn was taken (clear killbox, able resources, aggressive positions, ability to follow up, all of which are part of what makes a timing good) are why Flyquest had a fight winning turn here. Being capable of consistently making and executing turns at this high of level is part of why Flyquest are among the best in the world, and is why they provide so many opportunities to learn based on their actions.

Once again, Flyquest is in a position to engage with a set killbox and the resources necessary to create a play. The difference now is that one of those tools is an ult (specifically ultron ult), so this fight will show how to make a turn with an ult.

The making of the turn is exactly the same outside of the ult, with both ultron cooldowns being used, the starlord teamup going out, a dino bubble used to walk into the enemy team, mantis leaves being used, and all members of Flyquest swinging the corner aggressively. The reason why the ult is used here is because it increases the lethality and potency of the turn, making it likely to either force an ult (where Flyquest will then have better conditions for the fight because of how much map space they control) or an outright fight win.

Flyquest continues forward as the ult makes their turn longer and more threatening, and pinch EXG into a tiny killbox where they all pop, even through the (albeit bad) shark puddle. This means not only where they able to force an ult, but their turn was so strong because of how coordinated and lethal it was combined with the space touzii and avery could utilize (the main lane which in this scenario becomes a side lane). Overall, the turn is made and executed under the same conditions and with aggressive resources, same as the other fight but with the added strength of an ult.
Main Takeaways - In order to make a good turn, coordination, aggressiveness through the use of available resources and a strong timing (with the earlier laid out conditions) must all be present at once.
